beyond Oncology partners with Cancer Nursing Today (CNT), a leader in providing the latest nursing-specific oncology news. We pair mentees with mentors to create content for the Best Practice section to highlight current and emerging evidence for nurses in all settings to replicate within their practices to improve the lives of others.
Historically, nurses wrote in journals, books, or other print material. But now, nurses can write for blogs, social media, newsletters, and so on. It is much less overwhelming to start with a short article (600 words) before moving to a full-length paper for publication. Our mentors can help novice authors choose a topic, provide direction and editorial advice, and role model how to navigate the publication process. Our goal is to make writing easy instead of starting “too big” and quickly becoming discouraged with the writing process.
