be a Mentor
You might want to be a mentor if you have at least some writing experience (professionally or personally), and you want to foster a nurse’s career development. We will teach you how to give constructive feedback and how to navigate a mentor/mentee relationship.
Writing for Cancer Nursing Today (CNT) is an excellent way for you to help new nurse authors jump-start their writing careers. The short 500–600-word article will focus on why nurses want to learn about the topic, best practices, and implications for practice. Just 3-5 references per article. Deadlines and frequency of submissions are very flexible.
If this sounds like a role you want to try, spend some time in self-reflection over these 3 questions:
- Why do I want to become a mentor?
- Do I have the time or energy to devote to mentoring?
- What support might I need from beyond Oncology?
